Annyeong! I hope you're all having a nice day!
I've been thinking about creating this post for quite a while and I'm finally getting around to it. Originally, it was supposed to be top ten songs with deep/sad/meaningful lyrics but in the end I decided to split it into a few different posts with each post having 5 songs each. Anyways, lets start this.

First of all, upon hearing this song for the first time I teared up a bit due to Yoongi's passion in this song. However, when I listened to it whilst reading the English lyrics I burst into tears and I'm not even ashamed. This song describes Yoongi's depression and his struggles. Throughout most of the song, the lyrics are 'helpless' but he tries to sound more confident which a lot of people can relate to.
"at times i'm scared of myself too"
"if my misfortune is your happiness, i'll happily stay unfortunate"
"the things that corrupted my essence are numerous"
_______________
Block B
This song is about how [he] compares himself to a toy, saying that [she] is easily going to get tired of him and eventually throw him away. The 'toy's' love is apparent, saying how he's given the girl everything he has. In my opinion, the song is really catchy and I've had it on repeat numerous times. I also love the Japanese version of this song because it's beautiful as well.
"who cares about my emotions"
"if love is a joke, then use me ruthlessly"
"to you i'm probably a light sadness, but i still want you to hurt"

NCT U
I'm bad at analyzing and understanding lyrics, but I can infer that this song is about how important it is being with [you] and how it's much happier that way. Overall, this is one of my songs of all time at this moment. I love their voices, the guitar and the drums together. I think that their vocals, the music and the lyrics all work very well together. I also love the Chinese version and I think it's too overlooked and under appreciated.
"look at the hidden scars of the ones who were pushed away"
"like being pulled by the current, like floating around the ocean, i’m getting tired, but I don’t see paradise"
______________
Standing Egg
There's not enough words to describe this song, it's truly beautiful. The piano at the beginning, then the guitar and the vocals are all so beautiful. I watched the music video upon its release and I teared up because it was so heartwarming but heartbreaking at the same time and the vocals just added to the emotions. Truly one of the best ballads I've heard so far.
"can you hear my voice, my broken heart"
"when the endless darkness rushes in, when you can’t take a step, because you can’t see anything ahead, when you are just holding on, because you can’t reach out, when you fall down i’ll hold your hand, i hear your voice in the dark"

I absolutely love this song, it's so calming and really catchy and just beautiful. But then again, what ballads aren't? It talks about how everything's going to be okay in the end but you'll fall down anyway. It also talks about loneliness and how they're just pretending to be okay in front of people. I'm sure a lot of people can relate to this.
"in then end, you'll fall down anyway"
"i go out my house like i’m being chased, it’s like standing at the edge of a cliff, what am I doing?"
"i’m a small paper boat, lost during voyage without coordinates, i force down my tears. sighing becomes a habit, i know that i'm being a fool, but i pretend i'm ok in front of others"

So that's it! It's probably a long post but I hope you guys enjoy it! :dizzy:

I just wanted to say how I'm happy this for featured, I really did not expect that, but I'm glad many people saw this post. I also saw that there have been lots of suggestions, so I'm sure to check them out and add them to the other parts of this post! Anyway, I hope you all have a good day and thank you for all the support ^^
Also, if anyone's interested I will probably post part 2 next week and this will be a weekly thing. This may have 5 parts but it may also have 20 taking in mind how many deep songs there are out there in the k-pop world.
